Cllr Callum Ward-Kendall

County Councillor for Yarmouth Nelson & Southtown

About

I’ve lived in the Great Yarmouth constituency my whole life, and I’ve seen exactly what happens when decisions are made without residents at the heart of them. Too many years of decline, too many voices ignored, and far too many excuses from the same old parties.

I now run a local company that helps keep residents and businesses safe in their homes and buildings — and that work has only strengthened my belief that our community deserves better.

I’m stepping forward because it’s time for real, practical change. I’m here to listen, to understand the issues you face every day, and to push for the improvements our area has been denied for far too long.

This page will be a place for updates, conversations, and genuine engagement. Together, we can rebuild pride in Great Yarmouth and shape a future that actually reflects the people who live here. Let’s get to work.

My Priorities

Vulnerable People & Local Support
Provide support to those who need it most, focusing on drug addiction, homelessness and mental health. Promote community centres and activities to bring the town together
Pride in our Town
Hold owners of dilapidated buildings to account and ensure our town is one to be proud of. Ensure that both commercial and residential buildings are well maintained and looking the best they can.
Infrastructure
Drive to create proper infrastructure to support the people in our areas. We need more focus on public buildings, including schools, dentists, shops etc. and utilities such as drainage before we start considering labour’s 1.5 million new homes.
Maintenance & Cleanliness
Ensure that public highways and footpaths are well maintained, including reducing the amount of overgrowth. Cleaning drains, and litter regularly. Populate flowerbeds that are left for weeds.
Putting You First
Listening to your concerns and suggestions and putting them forward, while providing you updates with whats happening inside the council.
